Despite being just a demo, it does a great job of showcasing its story, characters, and overall gameplay. ![]() If you’ve ever wondered what a puppet-themed survival horror game would be like, My Friendly Neighborhood: Basement Demo will answer that for you. The full version can be purchased on Steam. No drastic changes were made to the gameplay and players can still enjoy it as is. Officially releasedĪfter spending some time in the demo phase, the full version of the game has been officially released by the developer studio. As mentioned earlier, though, this is just a demo version to give a preview of what the full game will be. What’s more, it utilizes nonlinear gameplay that allows you to explore and branch out into different story paths as you choose. You’ll get to familiarize yourself with some of the game’s weapons, which are The Rolodexer and The Novelist as you fend off your ferocious pursuers. Come face to face with various puppet fiends, solve puzzles to progress, and ultimately figure out the root cause of these dark and mysterious series of events. Thus, begins your dark and creepy adventure into the game. You play as Gordon, a repairman sent in to find out what's going on. Years later, the whole place suddenly and mysteriously came to life and started broadcasting again. As interest in it waned and money ran out, the studio behind was forced to close down for good. My Friendly Neighborhood: Basement Demo centers around The Friendly Neighborhood, a popular Saturday morning puppet show in decline.
